Accessories
through the years. I have always loved fun fashion
accessories. At one point in my life I worked as an enrichment
lecturer aboard cruise ships lecturing about fashion and accessories
in exchange for free cruises for my husband and myself! I
often use accessories to teach embellishment techniques as a quick,
easy project. I have especially enjoyed creating scarves on
Ultra Solvy, Sulky's heaviest water soluble stabilizer. I have
as many as 30 hours in some of these one of a kind scarf creations.
A variety of yarns, ribbons and fabric strips are couched to the
Ultra Solvy. When the stitching is completed, the Ultra Solvy
stitched piece is put in a lingerie bag and washed to remove the
water soluble stabilizer, leaving the gorgeous fiber art behind. |
